You are picked up from your hotel at 10.00AM by your guide and travel 1.5 hours from Melbourne into the Victorian countryside. Today you will see free range Eastern Grey Kangaroos and Emus, and watch Koalas in their natural habitat. You will also be introduced to a program which is breeding for release a variety of bird species which were once common on Victoria's volcanic plains. Enjoy a day with your naturalist guide and discover the Australian bush and the animals that inhabit it. Cross the Werribee Plains, part of one of the world's largest volcanic provinces, to visit Serendip Sanctuary. Here drive around the perimeter road offering excellent opportunities to see the mobs of kangaroos, small groups of Emu's and a variety of waterfowl. Stop to walk through the bird hides with opportunities to look out over the Sanctuary's extensive wetlands and inspect breeding colonies.
Enjoy a picnic lunch at the Sanctuary before driving further west to the Brisbane Ranges National Park. Here you are guaranteed to see Koalas in their natural habitat; your guide will describe the research in the Park which has provided much of the knowledge of this fascinating creature. After the tour, return to the hotel approximately 4.45PM.

This experience includes sunrise at Ayers Rock and a base tour, with breakfast overlooking Uluru, before joining your Aboriginal Guide.
Learn the real meaning and history of Uluru directly from local Aboriginal Guides. Retrace the path of the Liru Ancestors through unique bushland to Uluru. See the scars left on the rock during their battle with Kuniya thousands of years ago.
Learn to hold a spear and imagine you're on the hunt. Hear the tragic fate of Lungkata, the emu thief, whose body we see laying at the base of Uluru. See demonstrations of ancient bush skills such as making kiti (bush glue), starting a fire without matches and carving wooden tools with only a sharpened stone.
Return to your hotel late morning. The afternoon is a leisure for a swim, shopping, or independent sightseeing.
Tonight - you dine in the desert to the sounds of silence...
A brilliant outback sunset over KataTjuta (The Olgas), with Desert Oaks framing the view, the haunting sounds of the didgeridoo, the fresh tastes of outback cuisine, the sounds of silence and the Milky Way.
You will journey into the desert where a didgeridoo welcome awaits.
As the sun dips behind the many domes of KataTjuta, enjoy a selection of fine Australian beverages and sample delicious outback canapes. The sun has set, the horizon is glowing richly, and the BBQ sizzles as the desert silhouettes blend with the darkening sky.
Enjoy our special bush blend vegetable soup followed by tender choice cuts of kangaroo, emu, chicken and Northern Territory barramundi - all accompanied by a fresh selection of salads, vegetables and unique Territory chutneys and relishes.
This is followed by a selection of Australian desserts, with some old favorites including pavlova and our own macadamia nut pudding. By the time you finish dessert you become aware that the only sound and light is from the gas lanterns. Then the lanterns are dimmed and perhaps for the first time in your life you hear the sounds of the great outback.
Wind gently rustling through the Desert Oaks, the chipping of a bat, the haunting howls of dingoes in the distance or possibly just the 'sounds of silence'.
Looking up you become aware of Southern Skies - the Milky Way gleaming above amongst an array of planets, stars and constellations. You are now introduced to the heavens by an Astronomer followed by individual viewing through our on-site telescope.
Completely relaxed, you finish your evening around the camp fire with a brew of billy tea or coffee and a glass of port. You are transferred back to you hotel about three hours after sunset.

The reef lagoon at Agincourt offers excellent swimming and snorkeling areas. Quality snorkeling equipment is provided free of charge and the Marine Biologists on board can introduce you to a whole new world. For the more adventurous, SCUBA diving on Agincourt is amongst the best in the world. Learn about the Estuarine Crocodiles, mangrove forests and wildlife - this is nature at its best.

A delicious BBQ lunch with salads, tropical fruits and Australian wines is prepared whilst you take the opportunity to swim in a tranquil freshwater stream. Fish and turtles in the creek, butterflies and exotic birds in the trees and often goannas on the forest floor are all at the luncheon site. This tour also takes you beyond Cape Tribulation to along the only 4WD Bloomfield Track. There is no set timetable so don't bring your watch.
